ABB’s FACTS unit in Västerås, part of the group’s Power Grids division, currently has a vacancy for a Control System Engineer, at our Global Service Center. As Control System Engineer within the service organization, you will work with high quality deliveries and cost effective engineering solutions for our customers. You will focus on areas including fault tracing and corrections, design and implementation to verification and commissioning of various contents of control system deliveries to fully meet customers’ requirements. Each project and task have specific requirements regarding control functionality and to achieve this, you will need to have frequent contact with other engineering groups, project managers, local ABB offices, suppliers and our customers.
We are looking for a driven, teamwork-orientated achieverfor this position. We would welcome applications from experienced professionals, as well as driven younger applicants who are keen to take their carriers to the next level. To excel in this position, you need to be organized, responsive and solution-driven, with a strong focus on delivering results and serving the customer.
A BSc or MSc in engineering, with a specialisation in electrical systems, automatic control theory, software engineering or similar is required. Preferably you combine this with some years’ of experience from similar engineering positions working with deliveries of electrical power plants, converter stations, process control systems, or substation automation. An outgoing personality is a must, as this job entails a great deal of customer contacts and close cooperation with colleagues and suppliers. ABB is a truly global company and proficiency in English is required.
